Can Inery Help Traditional Businesses And How?

A testnet is an alternative blockchain network that is used to run and test new functionalities or improvements without jeopardizing the mainnet. As the name suggests, a Public Testnet is meant for developers to try out different features and functionalities of the network, provide recommendations for improvements, and build and test their own projects on the network without facilitating actual transactions.

A public testnet is crucial for testers and developers when evaluating the feasibility and credibility of a blockchain project. Moreover, it helps the project achieve quality assurance and deploy a network that is highly performant and free of errors. Through a plethora of test case scenarios, projects escape bringing a myriad of risks to the mainnet or creating trial-and-error situations.

Inery Public Testnet

On August 10, we launched our first Public Testnet aimed to raise awareness about the Inery ecosystem, as well as allow you, the users, to test the functionalities in the network. The testnet is fundamental for the experimentation and testing of Inery ahead of the mainnet launch. It will enable the technical team to refine the ecosystem based on feedback from users.

You are only required to register your server, or as a block producer, on Inery’s testnet site to gain access to the functionalities in the simulated network. Developers can then set MEM nodes and interact with Inery CLI (command line interface) tools and utilize the RPC (Remote Procedure Call) API.

Inery Tasks on Testnet

The first set of tasks was rolled out during the launch, and the users got rewarded when they completed the tasks. The second set of activities, 7 tasks for 7 different reward amounts, is live on the Inery testnet. Developers can perform each of these tasks for INR rewards, as follows:

  1. Developers performing master approval are eligible for 800 INR
  2. Creating your own token or currency and transferring it to someone makes you eligible for 1500 INR
  3. Creating your own Smart Value Contract rewards you with 2000 INR
  4. Completing an RPC API push transaction makes you eligible for a 4000 INR r
  5. Creating a full-stack web app using IneryDB makes you eligible for a 4000 INR
  6. Creating a non-fungible token (NFT) gets you 1200 INR
  7. Creating a simple game gets you a 1500 INR

Nodes So Far…

So far, we have over 1000 master and lite nodes running, with about 800 master nodes producing blocks, in over 10 countries worldwide. 86 people fell off the first task and 35 during the second task.

The testnet is an important milestone in Inery’s journey of decentralizing data and a preliminary step toward the launch of the Inery mainnet. The Inery mainnet will be launched in Q1 2023.

Our team is currently working hard to release the first version of the IneryDB system in December 2022. After its initial release, we will open the IneryDB testnet for testing.

*All eligible testnet participants will receive their rewards once Inery mainnet is launched.
